The Right Way To Climb A Mountain.
Two years ago I was introduced to somebody that convinced me that they could change my life and turn my fortune. I was foolish enough to believe him and went right ahead and invested all I had in him and his enterprises. Since then my life has collapsed into total ruin, as it turns out I invested in a Professional Con Man (who is still at large) who systematically drained me, my friends and many others with lies and fake investments. I took a risk albeit a spontaneaous one that will haunt me for the rest of my life.
Now Im not about to blurt out my life story and expect people to have an ounce of sympathy, but I find myself in a precarious position at a pretty late time in life. A time when most people have found success and love and learned from all their own stupid mistakes over the years of growing.
My whole reason for this post and my blog for that matter is ‘How on earth do I turn it around before its too late?’
For a start, let me tell you that I am practically penniless and in massive debt….I am alone, I am not married and whatever I believed to be doing as a career, just isnt working, more so in the state I’m in. To explain why I have ended up this way would also merit a book, for all the goings on that led to this disaster.
I am, what i believe to be a webmaster, yes thats what I have been telling people proudly when they ask, ….a webmaster, it’s got a great ring to it, kind of cool, and always impressed people even though they had’nt a clue what a webmaster was. You would think a webmaster would have the secrets of the internet and whats more the secrets to earning a great deal of money from the internet? So, now I have to ask the question, seriously….How Do You Make Money On The Internet?…How do I make money at all?? and why aren’t I already earning top dollar for being the ’so-called webmaster for almost ten years!’…yes you heard it right. Ten years!
It’s ironic that at my one time of complete ruin (can you really have lots of times?) I have to seriously face up to this question. Once and for all.
It’s not that I’m a completely stupid person, I’m actually well adjusted and I’ve lived, yes I can say that I’ve lived, I’ve partied, I’ve travelled and I’ve had many a girlfriend. If I say that I’m ‘Aries’ some that believe in Astrology will understand that we fire types are overly creative and carefree, the kind that start projects and never finish them. I’m also a musician of kind, but again not a master of one instrument but a dabbler in many.
So to the question ‘How Do You Make Money On The Internet?‘
Anybody who’s asked themselves that question knows of all the avenues and all the ‘Golden Rules’ they should be following to build up a nice residual income or other and a good many are making it. Now this is 2008, a lot of avenues are covered, I am starting from the beginning, just like some guy, who has just discovered internet after losing his dayjob of 30 years. But for me its like I climbed the wrong side of the mountain and for gods sakes fell right down to the bottom again.
Who is making money? and what is the best method? groan…I dont want to explore, I lack patience but I did find something that interested me and would interest all the bloggers out there. Yah, as Blogging is a force across the internet, Bloggers are making money. Now how do they do that?
Like I explained earlier, truly I am ruined and have nothing but a room and fortunately, my trusty laptop and a decent internet connection. (and a guitar to help me keep sane) I have nothing to lose…because I have nothing. I scrape a living maintaining websites for as much as I can get.
I’m going to find the out how a blogger makes money….and I guess its going to be a hard climb to the top of the mountain.

Great post, even though the story is not so great considering all that you had to go through. You sound like a man who will come out on top. I’m an Aries so I can relate to the dabble in many things, I have a blog but I have at least two different things in the fire so to speak. It’s hard with the Internet theres so many things that are going on and I want to dabble in all of them. Good Luck with your ventures. Great blog btw!
